Summary:
Montauk Renewables, Inc. (“Montauk”), headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is a leader in the development and operation of landfill gas-to-energy facilities, a growing source of renewable energy. The IT Manager is a management position of the information technology team at Montauk and is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of the Company’s information, security, and communication systems. The IT Manager will need to:
- Develop and execute projects that meet technology requirements of the organization
- Supervise systems, communication platforms, and manage support personnel and/or resources
- Conduct the deployment, securitization, and maintenance of virtual and physical devices
- Coordinate the setup and deployment of computers/workstations for use by Company personnel
- Maintain administration and support over the Company’s mobile phones and related telecommunications systems
- Support the Company’s ERP system and ancillary services
- Maintain and support the Company’s core database environment
- Regulate the Company’s cloud services including but not limited to IaaS/BaaS/DRaaS virtual datacenter environment and Microsoft365 tenant suite
- Review and apply IT policies/procedures for supporting systems as outlined by upper-level management
- Handle communications/disaster recovery systems and processes
- Monitor and generate system performance reports
- Assist with the Company’s audit policy standards
- Assess and comply with regular department budget review efforts
- Guide end user training exercises on new and existing systems
- Research and investigate technology solutions to recommend to Director of IT and department heads
- Build and maintain relationships with technology providers to meet essential business needs
Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate is expected to have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a minimum of 8 years of experience in the information technology and energy industry or comparable experience and education. Candidate must have demonstrated experience managing and supervising others in an information technology environment. 8-10 years of experience in IT management preferred.
Skills Desired:
- Excellent organizational leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, database and data storage systems, hardware and software virtualization, and telecommunications systems
- Substantial grasp of project management principles
- Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements
- Familiarity with renewable natural gas facility operations
- Some travel necessary
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Physical Demands:
- Required to be able to stand, sit, walk, and lift light objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk over uneven terrain
- Up to 15% travel as needed
