Summary

The Senior Analyst role will serve two primary functions within the Environmental Attributes Department. The first is to facilitate the Company’s collective understanding of renewable energy policy and economics, assisting in the development of regulatory strategy and advocacy. This is accomplished through the continual monitoring and analysis of relevant political, regulatory, and market-oriented factors. The second will be assisting the Manager, Environmental Attributes, in modeling facility data for regulatory programs and audits. Other various tasks will also include data management and review, compliance with state and federal renewable fuel programs, etc.

Detailed list of job responsibilities includes:

· Analyze environmental attribute and gas purchasing contracts and facility-to-market pathways
· Regulatory review and analysis to continue developing in-house expertise on programs the Company participates in (EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard, CARB’s Low Carbon Fuel Standard, and ISCC-European Union), and other developing programs and legislation
· Modeling pathway and/or emission calculations as needed within the LCFS and ISCC programs, and associated audits
· Monitor, analyze, and report on energy usage and pricing trends related to biogas industry and market analysis of future trends and projections
· Monitor, analyze, and report on changes in energy, climate, and transportation regulations, incentives, policy frameworks, and goals; assist in development of company position and related comments as necessary
· Conduct ongoing in-depth analysis of RFS and LCFS rulemakings; assist in development of company position and related comments
· Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager

Skills and Qualifications:

· B.S. in environmental or technical science degree
· 5-10 years’ experience in environmental science or energy type field
· Renewable fuels experience or knowledge required
· Detail-oriented self-starter
· Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives and manage multiple priorities and tasks within tight timelines
· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
· Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Other:

· Able to work in an office environment
· Required to be able to stand, sit, walk, and lift light objects;
· Hearing and visual acuity are necessary for this position; and
· Low travel required
