Pay Range: $25.00-$30.00 hourly

Job Summary:

Compiles, reviews, reports and trains on landfill gas collection system performance as directed by the Wellfield Manager. Directly contributes to collection system continual improvement and troubleshooting activities to optimize quality and maximize quantity of fuel. Strives to achieve high standards of safety and environmental integrity to achieve compliance goals.
 

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Reviews weekly data collection for completeness and makes updates and recommendations for the achievement of gas quality and quantity
  • Assists wellfield manager and wellfield technicians with tuning and gas quality improvement as needed
  • Reviews weekly results with NSPS technicians to improve tuning and balancing of the gas collection system wellheads in order to achieve performance standards
  • Facilitates the process for weekly reporting on system performance requests, to include cycle count data, gas quality, gas quantity, liquids removal, etc.
  • Maintains records to illustrate performance requirements of all flares and compressors
  • Provide daily support to the Wellfield Manager and Wellfield Technicians in the field for implementation of non-routine tasks, special projects and improvements
  • Contributes to the overall improvement of site-specific management system documentation and procedures
     

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2+ years' in a landfill gas or construction environment
  • High School or GED; technical training school
  • Knowledge of proper wellfield drilling and collection system installation techniques
  • Ability to read CAD generated wellfield drawings
  • Working knowledge of pumps, gauges, etc.
  • Desire to improve system performance in a demanding outdoor environment
  • Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills
  • Ability to interact positively and effectively in a team environment
  • Eager to work with others to help them improve their knowledge, skill and ability
  • Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing

 

Skills Desired:

  • Demonstrated plumbing, mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities
  • Natural or landfill gas wellfield collection system repair experience
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance

 

Physical Demands:

  • Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 50 pounds on occasion
  • Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements
  • Ability to use a variety of tools
  • Ability to walk over uneven terrain
