Position: Senior SEC and Accounting Special Projects Analyst

Responsibilities:

  • SEC Financial Reporting Related:
    • Develop and implement programs to address the recent SEC climate change rulemaking
      • Including development or incorporation of ESG/Greenhouse Gas annual reporting
      • Understanding of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions frameworks
    • Work with Information Technology department and Internal Audit to create programs to implement information security response plan in compliance with SEC cybersecurity rulemaking
    • Assist with various other recurring or non-routine SEC financial reporting
      • Demonstratable knowledge to 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Proxy and other filing forms
    • Assist with researching and documenting new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
    • Other SEC special projects as considered necessary
  • Financial Analyst Special Projects:
    • Assist existing senior financial analysts with:
      • Modeling analysis to assist with both organic and inorganic growth opportunities
      • Ad-hoc budget and forecast analysis
    • Assist with ad-hoc Treasury reporting functions related to credit agreement
    • Other financial planning and analysis special projects as required
  • Accounting Special Projects:
    • Assist with annual testing of internal controls in connection with existing SOX program
    • Assist with ongoing reviews related to various accounting policies and procedures
    • Assist with ad-hoc cash management responsibilities
    • Assist with the various quarterly reviews and annual audits information requests related to external auditors
    • Other general accounting ledger accounting and account reconciliation special projects as required
  • Various other cross functional duties as assigned or as required

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5 years progressive experience across accounting, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Experience with US Securities and Exchange Commission requirements
  • Familiarity with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills including ability to use arrays, widgets, and other advance modeling techniques
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills
  • Experience working with an accounting ERP system required, Microsoft ERP solutions preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently, while meeting goals and objectives within timelines
  • Highly detail orientated with tendencies to pay close attention to details
  • Analytical skills that allows for data-driven reports, memos, and presentations
  • Above average written, verbal and interpersonal skills to work in a hybrid office environment
